Examples of what $1,000 can do

• Sponsor 35 storyhours at neighborhood branches, or 18 children participating in the Library's summer reading program
• Purchase digital equipment for the Library's award winning "Computer Whiz Kids" program, or sponsor 24 children in a 4 week session - where children who might not otherwise have access to the latest technology develop valuable computer skills
• Fund 16 free computer workshops in Excel, Word, Publisher and more - where more than 128 adult students will enhance computer skills
• Provide wages for a high school age TeenPOWer participant assisting younger children with computers, reading help and using the library while developing their own critical job readiness and leadership skill
