Today, I will be joining librarians and library advocates from around the state at our annual Library Awareness Day at the Rhode Island State House. This is a time when we gather to showcase our libraries and share a few minutes with our legislators making them aware of the important role we play in our communities and, in particular, how critical public libraries are during challenging times like these.
