David Strachman is a partner at McIntyre, Tate and Lynch in Providence and brought the first civil suit under the Anti Terrorism Act of 1990. He has litigated numerous cases against the PLO, Palestinian Authority, HAMAS, Iran, Syria and the PKK in Rhode Island, New York and Washington. He is an adjunct professor of law at Southern New England School of Law and the author of the recently published Civil Terrorism Law (Lawyers and Judges Publishing, 2008), the first book on civil terrorism litigation.
Strachman will discuss how victims of international terrorism have successfully fought terrorists such as the PLO and HAMAS as well as state sponsors of terror such as Iran and Syria in US courts.
