Come Beat the Blues, with the Blues...A performance for all ages.

Battered by the economy? Worn out by the weather?
Lost your lover?
Whatever the cause, come beat the blues with the Blues. Guitarist Paul "Sweet P" Williams will combat those woes with an hour of music celebrating the healing power of the blues. Listen and enjoy as he illustrates the long history of this African-American musical tradition, tracing its growth from pre-Civil War "sorrow song" through the Delta and Muddy Waters up to today's R&B.

Paul Williams (AKA Sweet P)
Born and raised in Providence, Paul Alexander Williams (AKA Sweet P), has been gigging in local venues since the age of 19. His musical experience spans the spectrum from show bands to gospel, jazz guitar to his own blues trio. Singer and musician, hell show us the best of the blues in this all-too-brief hour.
