Hope Tunnel
Thursday, June 18
Rochambeau Branch, 708 Hope Street
Hope Tunnel is a group of Providence musicians who have been playing together informally since the 1980s. The instrumentation is acoustic and the music is roots/traditional (loosely defined) and includes banjo, guitar, dulcimer, harmonica, fiddle, mandolin, dobro, and lots of singing. There is no set repertoire and no rehearsals in any traditional sense - just a circle of friends plucking tunes from the air and making a joyful noise (at least... we think so!). The atmosphere will be loose and informal. So, feel free to bring along an instrument and join in!
