Shanthi Muthu’s program will contain three elements:
DANCE PERFORMANCE - The audience will explore India’s rich culture as the dancer explains and performs Bharatanatyam & folk dance with introduction and explanation of the meaning of the songs.
SENTENCE-DANCING - The audience will come and show in their own way without using words, various phrases like: Please come here; you are beautiful; I don't want to hear anything you say. Then the dancer also shows the phrase in her Dance style. Then everybody will do it together.
YOGA-DANCE STORY TIME - Through Yoga postures and dance movements, the audience will depict stories like Ant, Sparrow and hunter that portray values of friendship and gratitude. Trees, rocks, Lions and butterflies will be depicted through Yoga postures and songs.
Shanthi Muthu learned a classical dance form called Bharatanatyam in India and is in touch with the rich art form, through choreography, learning, teaching and performances for the past 34 years. Also, having a deep conviction of Yoga’s effect on body, mind and spirit, she has incorporated it in her daily life for the last 30 years.
