Kelly Easton, Rhode Island’s award winning author of Hiroshima Dreams, The Life History of a Star and The Outlandish Adventures of Liberty Aimes has crafted a beautiful character-driven story examining four generations, their triumphs, defeats, and the simply complex cycle of life.

Ms. Easton’s first novel for adults, Time in the Sleeping Sky weaves through generations, capturing one family's unforgettable journey through time and sky.

During this program, she will share her experience with the writing and publishing processes and new directions in the business.

Ben Hawkins has yawned through time; now, turning back, he finds he can't remember. His daughter Nancy ticks in reverse, allowing the past to control the present. Her eight year old son pockets time like a shiny watch, hiding his genius, even as he creates his masterpiece. A bear named Gertrude, a Persian shopkeeper, an unsolved murder, a farm in Japan, and the starstruck landscape of L.A., weave through the trajectory of one family's journey through time and sky. From the award winning author of Hiroshima Dreams, Walking on Air, The Life History of a Star, and The Outlandish Adventures of Liberty Aimes comes an unforgettable story.

Kelly Easton is the author of numerous books for children and young adults.  She teaches in the low residency MFA program at Hamline University and works as a freelance teacher and editor.  She lives in Rhode Island and Massachusetts with her husband and children.
