Relive the stories of the ‘40s and ‘50s with Dr. Ed as he follows the success of his bestseller, “Growing Up Italian; Grandfather’s Fig Tree and Other Stories.” Relive the dinner, hear the sounds, smell the aromas, taste the food, walk the neighborhood, meet his friends and relatives. It is a story for all, Italian American or not.

“Dr Ed’s stories of growing up in an old Northeast city evoke the sweetness, sadness, ambitions and humor of life in an Italian American family moving into the American dream. It is a memorable social history of lyric wit.”  -- Robert Whitcomb, Editor, Providence Journal
