House of Dark Shadows

The series that tapped a new vein of TV soap opera with its tales of the lives and loves of the undead also spawned this full-blooded, full-color movie incarnation directed by Dark Shadows creator, Dan Curtis, in 1970. Filming took place at Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown, New York, with additional footage at nearby Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

In this film expansion, vampire Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) searches for a cure for vampirism so he can marry a woman who resembles his long-lost fiancée Josette (Kathryn Lee Scott). Alas, nothing can be normal at eerie  Collinwood. (97 minutes)
