Maltese Falcon (1941) – A classic directed by John Houston with Dashiel Hammett’s Philip Marlowe played by Bogart - the beginning of a beautiful friendship. With film fans around the world, this is truly “the stuff dreams are made of…”
A private detective takes on a case that involves him with three eccentric criminals, a gorgeous liar, and their quest for a priceless statuette.
This series looks at the style from the origins in Berlin into the end of the beginning, with 40s & 50s Hollywood movies that are now classics.

Film discussions will be led by Ron Hagell, BA, MFA – an experienced film writer/director who has taught screenwriting around the world (RISD, University of London, Frankfurt University
and more).
