LEARN TO WRITE YOUR MOVIE!
Here’s your chance to learn how the screenwriting pros do it.
A film writer’s circle is now forming and will be meeting regularly at the Library.
The group leader will be Ron Hagell, BA, MFA -– an experienced film writer/director who has taught screenwriting around the world (RISD, University of London, Frankfurt University and more).
Prospective members are invited to attend one session free of charge (fees charged for subsequent sessions and critiques). Five subsequent sessions this quarter.
Regular group members will pay $5 each session and will submit their work regularly (at least every 2 weeks) for critique. Each week there will be a themed discussion for the first hour, during which the group will be led in a discussion on one aspect of the craft with a film clip example. The first two sessions will always be devoted to a review of the basic elements of movie structure and the recommended readings. The following 2 hours will be readings and group critique. Tutorials are available for beginners.
