As a public service, Providence Public Library invites Rhode Island non-profit organizations to post their programs/events of statewide interest on our Calendar of Events. Communities for People is a non-profit organization that specializes in Foster Care and Adoption. There is currently a shortage of homes for children in care today. Communities for People offers the state-wide training required to become a licensed foster/adoptive family. Our training is held usually 4 to 5 times a year. The training lasts for 8 weeks. We meet every Tuesday night at our office in Eagle Square located at 623 Atwells Ave in Providence. Ther training begins at 6pm and ends at 9 pm.
We do provide childcare if necessary. PLEASE CALL AHEAD PRIOR TO THE FIRST MEETING TO UPTAIN MORE INFORMATION AND RECEIVE A WELCOMING PACKET.
