Introduction to Basic Yoga
Yoga is the art of uniting the body, mind, and soul. In this class, you will stretch and tone your muscles, cultivate concentration and clarity, and encourage peace and self acceptance. There are no "typical" yoga classes; however expect your experience to include: a period of centering, tuning in to the body, breath and mind, breath awareness and control (pranayama), gentle warm up movements, simple yoga postures (asanas) that stretch, strengthen and balance your body, and a period of deep relaxation.
Please bring a yoga mat or a towel.
Registration is encouraged (see, below), but not required.

Chris Belanger is a Kripalu Yoga Teacher, Laughter Yoga Leader, Yoga Nidra Guide and Chair Yoga Teacher. Chris shares the calming, energizing and healing powers of yoga and laughter at prominent yoga studios, wellness centers, events and residences throughout southern New England.
