Mark Charles Shertheton has been in theater for 50 years, beginning at the age of seven. He has worked in over 85 stage productions as director, producer, actor, writer, dancer, choreographer and designer. His work, encompassing film, television and radio, has taken him to several areas of the United States as well as to Italy, France, England and Scotland. He has had four successful theater companies.
His most successful one, Teatro Elettrico, which was in Milan, Italy, was a theater company and a school where he taught and produced new plays as well as those of Shakespeare, Beckett, Pinter and other playwrights. As a lecturer, Mr. Shertheton has spoken on a variety of topics including playwrights, theater, and on innovative didactic methods which helped teachers understand how theater techniques and productions can be used for teaching English. Also a writer, fourteen of his plays and two of his screenplays have been produced.
