PVD Community Safety Act / PRONK Teach-in and Art Build

Learn more about the Community Safety Act at this brief public teach-in at 1pm. Then, lend your hand in the creation of banners, signs and T-shirts that we can march with in the PRONK parade (Oct. 10th) and use for future community safety and police accountability actions.
A crew of local artists are designing banners and we need the public to help us paint them. Bring your own blank T-shirt to screen print, or paint signs with messages about why Providence needs the CSA, ending police brutality, and putting safety in the hands of the community.
Join us in using the power of art to support shifting the focus from criminalizing people of color to addressing the root causes that perpetuate violence in our communities.
Kids welcome. Materials and artist facilitation provided. No experience necessary. At the downtown Providence Public Library Auditorium and Meeting Room on Level 3 (then some of us will go across the street to AS220 mainstage to do more art over there.)
