As a public service, Providence Public Library invites Rhode Island non-profit organizations to post their programs/events of statewide interest on our Calendar of Events. Although we attempt to ensure authenticity and accuracy of content, we recommend that you contact the organization posting this event for verification.

This ranger talk will be conducted by Alex Papianou, and will address his new book entitled Tolia’s. The book details aspects of Woonsocket’s Main Street during the 1940s and 1950s. Papianou wrote the book about working at his aunt's and uncle’s restaurant to “look back at my life as a dishwasher, soda jerk, waiter, short order cook and candy maker.”
