Colonel Doherty, the recently retired colonel and superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police, will present a talk entitled "The State Police: An Inside View From the Top." 

Colonel Doherty will address and answer questions on such topics as organized crime, traffic safety issues, homeland security, racial profiling, and the relationship between the state police and local law enforcement personnel.
