Whether you have a few short stories or a complete family history, your writing can be turned into heartfelt gifts for family and friends. We will explore ideas ranging from family newsletters, to personal cards, photo captioning, memory books and more.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Kathleen Hughes, author of Dear Mrs. Lindbergh (W. W. Norton & Co, 2004), attended Yale
University and earned her MFA in Fiction at the University of Iowa Writer's workshop. Born in Indianapolis, she moved to Rhode Island in 1999. Kathleen has been a Writer in Residence at Portsmouth Abbey School, has worked at the Providence Phoenix, and has taught high school students in Providence. Whether as a mom, a wife, a teacher, a writer, a daughter, a sibling, or a friend -- she believes that storytelling in writing is vital, fundamental work.
