Windows I Keyboard and mouse (Starting class)
If you think computers are too confusing or just plain scary, come to this 90 minute hands-on class. You will test drive the mouse and experiment with all the keys on the keyboard. Take the fear out of it and have fun learning the very basics of today’s computers.

Windows II Basic Windows

Windows III Customizing the computer
Is your computer as comfortable as your house? No, well come to this class. First travel through the control panels to adjust your computer to your desired settings. Then change the look and feel of your computer to make it a more interesting or relaxing place to work or play.

Windows IV Bits and Bytes
Still can’t seem to figure out some things in windows then come to this 90 minute class. We will talk about your audio setup and how to stream audio, like a radio station, through your computer. Also you will learn how to add fonts to your system and create new folders to organize your files. Finally, understand how to save images from the web, and what to do if you cannot seem to open a file and much more.

Windows V Maintenance
If you take care of your computer it will take care of you. Take this 90 minute class to learn about the basic maintenance procedures to keep your computer happy. Delete space hogs like temporary items and finally understand what cookies are. Defragment the computer to make it run faster. Discuss updates, viruses, Spyware, firewalls, and what to do with them.

Microsoft Word I

In this class we experiment with most of the basic functions of Microsoft word. This program is easy to use. After playing with tools like centering, italic, bold and spell check you may type a farewell letter to your typewriter.

Need to send a letter? Want it to look professional? Use Word to do it. Learn to make labels and print envelopes. Understand envelope tools, electronic postage and other features.

Microsoft Word V Advanced Formatting
Confused by columns? Problems with pictures? Had it with headers? Take this advanced class to learn about tools that are helpful for creating a newsletter. We will deal with such problems as inserting multiple pictures, using borders, text wrapping, and what headers and footers are and how to manage them.

Adobe Photo Elements I
