How to Make a Gift to PPL

Gifts of Cash
The simplest way to support the Providence Public Library and obtain a tax deduction at the same time is an outright gift of cash. A check or money order should be made payable to Providence Public Library and mailed to:
Providence Public Library Foundation
150 Empire Street
Providence, RI 02903

Charge your Gift
The Library accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express. To make your gift by credit card, you may use do so using the Library's secure online donation option or contact Nancy Ponte at 401-455-8003. She will process the gift immediately with the appropriate credit card company.

Gifts of Appreciated Securities/Stocks/Mutual Funds

PPL greatly appreciates gifts of appreciated securities, stocks, and/or mutual funds, but due to rules and restrictions governing our endowment, we may only accept these gifts in the form of proceeds from sales. In order to make a gift in this manner, please contact your broker and ask him/her to sell the stock and forward the proceeds from the sale to PPL.

Your gift truly makes a difference in transforming lives. If you and/or your financial advisor would like to discuss an outright or planned gift to Providence Public Library and learn of the related tax benefits and naming opportunities for which you might be eligible, please call Nancy Ponte  at (401) 455-8003 or at nponte@provlib.org.
