How to Make a Gift to PPL
Gifts of Cash
The simplest way to support the Providence Public Library and obtain a tax deduction at the same time is an outright gift of cash. A check or money order should be made payable to Providence Public Library Foundation and mailed to:

Charge your Gift
The Library accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express. To make your gift by credit card, you may use do so using the Library's secure online donation option or contact Nancy Ponte at 401-455-8003. She will process the gift immediately with the appropriate credit card company.
Transfer your Gift Electronically
To transfer funds from your bank account to the PPL Foundation, contact Nancy Ponte at 401-455-8003 with the following:
- Name of Bank
- Name of Account
- ABA Number
Gifts of Appreciated Securities/Stocks/Mutual Funds
There are two methods depending on whether the stock is held in a brokerage account and simplyh being transfered, or if you physically hold the shares.
In the former instance, you or your broker should notify Nancy Ponte at 401-455-8003 and fax a copy of the transfer instructions to 401-455-8065. The PPL Tax Exempt Number is Certificate #38. If you hold the shares, you will need to send the stock certificate and a stock power (including a guarantee signature) in two separate envelopes to: PPL Foundation, 150 Empire Street, Providence, RI 02903.
