The Library has strong circulating and reference collections in music biography, as well as popular and classical music history. The score collection consists of 15,000 scores and songbooks, the largest public library collection in Rhode Island; all songbooks are indexed in a song index. The music collection contains miniature scores, chamber music in parts, How-to books for musical instruments, and is particularly strong in piano and vocal music.

A piano room and listening area are located on the 1st floor.
