WONDER SHOW Writing Workshops to be Held at Providence Public Library through April

The City in Pieces: Writing the Lost Histories of Providence
Providence Public Library will host four themed workshops in conjunction with The Wonder Show project.  Writers of all levels are invited to attend one or all workshops, which are free.  Through these workshops, local history will be used as creative inspiration to explore 19th century photographs, newspaper clippings, and other historic ephemera to reassemble and imagine a past that might otherwise be lost.

Documentary Screening & Lecture: The Dorr Rebellion, March 19 at PPL

Providence Public Library is pleased to welcome Dorr Rebellion scholar Russell DeSimone for a presentation of a new documentary film on the Dorr Rebellion followed by a lecture on the subject on Monday, March 19 from 7:00 to 8:15 pm, 150 Empire Street (3rd Floor Meeting Room).
