Providence Public Library will hold its first “A Night to Shine” Gala on Friday, April 12, 2013. The event, which will formally reveal the Library’s newly restored 1900 Renaissance building at 225 Washington Street, Providence, marks the completion of the building’s restorations over the past year and celebrates the one-year anniversary of the Library’s partnership with hospitality giant Russell Morin Fine Catering.
Library to Present Inaugural ENLIGHTENMENT AWARD to Two Recipients
During the benefit event to support the Library’s important educational and cultural role in the community, the Library will honor and present its inaugural ENLIGHTENMENT AWARD to two long-time benefactors: The Providence Journal ~ Howard Sutton and Trustee Emerita Martha P. Sherman.
The event is co-chaired by Mr. Barry G. & Dr. Kathleen C. Hittner, of Warwick, and Mr. & Mrs. J. Renn Olenn of Barrington. Supporters and guests are invited to tour the Library’s unique and exquisite spaces while enjoying sumptuous fare and exceptional hospitality provided by Russell Morin’s Fine Catering, as follows:
Tour & Tasting ticket ($150 pp): 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Tour & Tasting, Dinner, Dessert & Dancing ticket ($250 pp): 6:00 – 11:00 p.m.
Music will be provided by the Mac Chrupcala Orchestra
Casual elegant attire; valet parking.
All tickets include the Tour & Tasting. Only tickets at the $250 level and above include Dinner, Dessert & Dancing. No tickets will be issued; reservations will be held at the door. RSVP by April 5, 2013 ~ Seating is limited.
