FREE Electronic Recycling Drop-Off Event at Providence Public Library Wednesday, September 9

Providence Public Library will hold a free electronic recycling drop-off event in collaboration with Indie Cycle, LLC at the Library (150 Empire Street, Providence) from 3 – 6 pm on Wednesday, September 9.  Items may be brought to Library’s back lot during drop-off times (corner or Greene and Fountain Streets).

Bring your computers, monitors, laptops, PDA’s, cell phones, mice, keyboards, printers, toner cartridges, networking equipment, CD/DVD players, wires, stereo equipment, telephones, televisions, microwaves, and other electronic gadgetry regardless of age or condition.  Anything with a wire!

Also accepted: lead acid auto/marine batteries and battery backups. 

A $10 disposal fee is charged for mini-fridges, air conditioners, water coolers, and dehumidifiers. 

Not accepted: light bulbs, single use batteries, hazardous materials such as paint and broken TV tubes.

Indie Cycle, LLC, has a zero landfill policy and does not remarket any hard drives or data storage devices.  All electronic materials are transferred to ORS a local, R2 certified recycler for processing.
