Brothels are legal in Rhode Island, and the governor might be taking payoffs to keep it that way...When Liam Mulligan, a reporter at a dying Providence newspaper, starts asking questions, he’s promised free hookers if he minds his own business--and a savage beating if he doesn’t. Cliff Walk is the second Mulligan crime novel by Bruce DeSilva, winner of the prestigious Edgar and Macavity Awards. The new novel is at once a hard-boiled mystery and a serious exploration of sex and religion in the age of pornography.

Bruce DeSilva worked as a journalist for 40 years, including some memorable years spent at the Providence Journal, before retiring to write crime novels full time. In April of 2011, he was awarded the Mystery Writers of America’s prestigious Edgar Award in the best first novel category for “Rogue Island.” In September 2011, he was awarded the Mystery Writers International’s Macavity Award for best debut novel.  The book was also a finalist for the Shamus, Barry and Anthony Awards.  Cliff Walk is the second in a series of Liam Mulligan mysteries set in Rhode Island.
