Center for Lifelong Learning at PPL
Learning is not attained by chance,
it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence.

Providing lifelong education opportunities for all Rhode Islanders
Whether for personal enrichment or professional development, learners can turn to the Providence Public Library to meet their lifelong learning and continuing education needs and goals.
Consistent with the Library's mission to inspire lifelong education among all Rhode Islanders, fostering personal fulfillment and enhanced quality of life for an informed, enlightened and engaged citizenry, the Center for Lifelong Learning at PPL seeks to provide a spectrum of informative, cultural and historical educational opportunities to learners of all ages and backgrounds.
We do this by offering diverse free or low cost programs, lectures, presentations, classes and workshops through varied partnerships and collaborative initiatives with other libraries, state agencies and nonprofit groups, and with a range of philanthropic support. Contact our program coordinator to discuss potential program collaborations.
