Living Literature is offering a free Literacy Workshop for Educators:
Taking Literature from Page to Stage. Conducted by Artistic Director, Barry Press, and long-time member, Sharon Carpentier, this workshop is made possible by a grant from the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.
This workshop is a fun and supportive method of exploring the written word in voice and body that improves analytical thinking, exercises interpersonal communication and group interaction, and builds confidence. This time-tested workshop takes literature from page to stage by getting participants to read aloud and collaborate on a piece of non dramatic writing, in order to create a readers theater performance.
