This year's theme at the RI Spring Flower and Garden Show (February 24 - 27) at the Rhode Island Convention Center is Gardening with Heart. To celebrate this annual event and to showcase many floral motifs in the woodwork, wallpaper and museum collections at the Rhode Island Historical Society's John Brown House, the Society once again announces floral tours of the museum on Friday, February 25 and Saturday, February 26.
Among the highlights of this year's tour will be heart shaped leaves in the tile of the first floor bathroom and heart shapes made from a garland of flowers in the dining room wall paper.
Guided tours are available: Friday and Saturday at 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Free parking is available in the lot at the corner of Benefit and Charlesfield Streets.
