Art Journals are Awesome with Moira Richardson

Using collage materials like recycled books, magazines, sheet music, and road atlases, teens will create a visual story of their lives. Teens will write, draw, and collage images that represent their childhoods, favorite people, and their home or neighborhood. Each participant will leave with a handmade journal and a creativity kit to help them continue art journaling at home.

Space limited; please pre-register.

A freelance writer living in Providence, Moira Richardson is a regular magazine contributor. When she is not writing, Moira is often found making jewelry, teaching  classes, or playing the accordion.

Register for program online or call the Children’s Room at 455-8025.

The statewide RI Summer Reading Program is supported by the RI Office of Library and Information Services with funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, McDonald’s Local Owner/Operators of RI, the Pawtucket Red Sox, Citizens Bank and Pepsi.
