Foster Care and Adoption Awareness Day
Saturday, August 27, 2011
12:30 PM-4:00 PM
Temple to Music at Roger Williams Park
As a public service, Providence Public Library invites Rhode Island non-profit organizations to post their programs/events of statewide interest on our Calendar of Events. Although we attempt to ensure authenticity and accuracy of content, we recommend that you contact the organization posting this event for verification.
Communities for People is hosting its first annual Foster Care and Adoption Awareness Day. Agencies from across the state will be speaking and offering information about Foster Care and Adoption. Adoption RI will be exhibiting the Heart Gallery. We will be acknowledging our outstanding foster and adoptive families also.
There will be other exhibitors offering information for parents about children's health, education, activities, etc. The band Transmission will be playing all afternoon. There will be bouncy houses, face-painting, balloon animals, games, and mascot appearances. There will be a free raffle at the end of the event with prizes from Revolution tickets, to gift certificates to Panera, to a year membership to AAA. The event is free and open to the public.
