Moses Brown School will welcome acclaimed poet Michael Harper to read selections from his published work.

Michael Harper served as Rhode Island’s first Poet Laureate and has received a number of distinctions for his contributions to contemporary verse, including the prestigious Frost Medal from the Poetry Society of America. Harper’s works delve into themes of personal experience, history, and family, using language and rhythm inspired by his love for jazz and blues music. He is currently a professor of poetry at Brown University.
