Four Disabled Israeli veteran soldiers are part of a group invited to Aspen CO to participate in the program Golshim L'Chaim-Ski To Live. The program was started in 2008 by Rabbi Mendel Mintz of the Chabad Jewish Community Center, and is supported entirely by donations from the local community. These specific soldiers are transformed through their experience of learning to ski. The opportunity to remove themselves from their everyday existence gives them the freedom to forget the limitations of their disabilities. on the mountain, they experience the ability to overcome adversity and challenge themselves physically. with different disabilities, including amputees, paraplegics, etc. all successfully skiing and snowboarding by the end of the trip. These soldiers are able to use this experience to see a renewed sense of hope for their futures. The film takes them through how and where they were injured and how they learned to immediately deal with those injuries in the sense of moving forward and having a future.
