Providence  Westminster and
Mathewson Street  1882 to 1890
This photograph shows the building as it appeared between
1882 and say 1890 on the land of Horace Learned - who
deceased January 3, 1844 - at the southeast corner of
Westminster and Mathewson Streets.  The original house
was raised in 1870 and stores placed under same.  All was
taken down in November 1895 and the Tilden-Thurber
Company building erected in place thereof. Henry A. Greene
