Trinity Church - Newport -
Within Trinity Churchyard can be found the markers over the graves of many of Newport's
most illustrious settlers. Trinity Church itself was built in 1726 by Richard Munday in
the style of Sir Christopher Wren's famous London churches. Its spire, topped by a bishop's
mitre, has been the subject of numerous artistic studies.
An 18th century house stands on the hillside between the burial ground of Newport's Old
Trinity Church and the harbor.
