gc 1953 Brown University Carrie Tower built in 1904 at a cost of approximately $32,000 - a gift to Brown from Paul Bajnotti of Turin Italy in memory of his wife Carrie Mathilde Brown daughter of Nicholas Brown. Bajnotti also gave $10k000 to build the memorial fountain on the mall.
