The Old White Mill on Cranston Street

The Old White Mill was originally a state arsenal

It was garrisoned in May of 1842

Unsuccessfully attacked by Thomas W Dorr and his forces

Used as a grist mill and a woolen mill and a cotton mill

Purchased by the State of RI in December 1895

The site now occupied by the new State Armory

South of the Dexter Training Grounds
