PPL is not just a library, it’s a door for opportunities.
In 2003, I came for the first time inside the Library. I came here looking for a book, a Babies Names book for my first child. I was working in retail for almost 10 years. COVID happens, and I realized that I wanted to do something else. I wanted more.
I heard that PPL was giving online classes, basic computer classes. And so I did it. And I realized that I liked it too. After that. I thought that was it. But my teacher asked me if I would like to volunteer with new students. So I took the chance. After two years, PPL offered me a place as a contractor!
The Library gave me that chance, that start that I needed to change not just my life, my work style, but to change people’s life.
