Christopher Conley

I came to PPL to take the Data Navigators course.  I found it online and thought this would be a great starting point to see if I could see myself working in the Data Analytics field.  I was able to learn a ton in the Data Navigators course.  Not only did I learn a lot about data analytics and visualization, but Don (the teacher) also inspired me to go on and further my education.  So, I will be attending a full stack boot camp this fall.  I am so grateful that the Library offered this course because it has helped set me on a path that I know will change my life.

PPL’s Data Navigators course is a great resource for anyone with basic excel knowledge, who wants to beef up their skill set.  This could be if you want to improve your skills for the job you have, become qualified for a job you want, or just to dig deeper into what the data analytics field is and if it is a good fit for you.  I came in with strong analytics skills, but you don’t have to.  I watched so many of my peers have the same ah-ha moments that I had when I was first learning about data.  There is something for people at all levels.  For me it was visualization.  I’m a numbers guy, but I learned how much more impactful it is to be able to tell a story with a picture.  This completely changed how I view data.
